Here at Pure Design we have chosen to be an internet based business.

So why did I choose to be an internet business

Well over the years you will have seen many showroom based operations go into liquidation and close down. This happens due to those companies collapsing under the weight of their own overheads, overheads such as:

Sales people commission – typically between 8% and 10 % of project cost

Sales manager salary and commission – typically 25k per annum plus 5% of project cost

Marketing and advertising – approx. 15% of net profit per job

Site surveyor – industry standard usually £100 per survey after sale

When all of the above is factored in along with the general running costs of a showroom or direct marketing based operations, the cost is several thousands of pounds per job. This ultimately leads to far higher purchase costs for the client making the market place smaller for the company which ultimately leads to fewer sales. Simple!

The service offered by Pure Design is second to none!

Although the finished project has to be beyond expectations, for me the journey for the client throughout the whole process is as equally important, this is their home after all. Everything from taking as much time as required to get the design perfect and product selection precise, to protecting existing flooring used for access to kitchen or bathroom,  to installers cleaning up after themselves every day, to bringing the project in on time.

For the client who finds the whole process daunting, Pure Design will take away all the fear and confusion of what is required, explain how the process unfolds and most importantly, how it all comes back together.

At Pure Design the service provided is completely turn-key. There is never any need for a client to carry out any preparation work or source any specific materials or trades themselves. All aspects of the product and installation is provided by Pure Design. This allows the client complete peace of mind knowing that from start to finish they will only ever have and need one point of contact.

For the jobs that may require building works such as walls coming down or room conversions, a full architectural service is provided which includes the following:

Architectural survey of work required

Structural engineers report if required

All planning and warrant applications with local authorities

Liaising with local authorities

All building works and materials provided

Mobility specialist

Pure Design also specialise in modifying and tailoring designs to accommodate clients with mobility issues.

We have years of experience converting bathrooms to shower rooms and wet rooms, providing a whole range of aids such as walk-in showers / wet floors, fold down seats, grab rails etc.

We also specialise in designing kitchens to accommodate wheelchair use and height restrictions.

The design concept

For me, long gone are the days of designing on graph paper and asking the client to imagine how the kitchen or bathroom could look when it’s finished.

At Pure design we use the latest CAD (Computer Aided Design) technology to plan out and produce stunning 3D and virtual life like designs for your new luxury fitted kitchen or bathroom.

Design stage 1 is an initial site survey to measure up and discuss various design concepts for the desired home improvement.

Design stage 2 is taking those measurements, factoring in any client specification and bringing to the forefront nearly 20 years of design experience in order to produce stunning and bespoke 3D virtual designs factoring in colour schemes and product selections.

This design service not only allows the client to fully understand and appreciate the investment required, it also enables the client to visualise just exactly how the room will look upon completion and fully realise their aspirations for their dream kitchen or bathroom.

Installation

In today’s market place the client has far higher expectations than ever before, be that down to so many home improvement shows on TV, a new house builder show home in every town or just an awareness of the range of products available to today’s buyer to create beautiful rooms.

At the end of the day no matter how well the kitchen or bathroom has been designed, regardless of how well the materials have been managed, if the installation is not up to the highest standards then all else before it has been in vain.

At Pure Design all kitchens and bathrooms installations are carried out by expert and innovative craftsman of the highest calibre all of whom have worked for Pure Design since 2013. I feel fortunate not only to call them colleagues but also to consider them friends.
